The Waldner House

Traveling for treatment can be quite exhausting, inconvenient, and financially stressful. To assist our patients, the Memorial Hospital Foundation is proud to offer the Waldner House as a place to stay while receiving treatment away from home.

Amenities of the Waldner House include 5 private bedrooms, a kitchen fully stocked with cooking necessities, two spacious common areas, a fenced in back yard including a two-story deck/patio overlooking Rock Springs, and free parking.

The Waldner House was established for patients who travel to Rock Springs from the surrounding communities and states needing lodging assistance while receiving treatment at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County or the Sweetwater Regional Cancer Center.

Named after the Waldner Family, the Waldner House was made possible with a thoughtful and generous donation from the Waldner family in honor of their loved one, Ken, who had to travel to receive cancer treatment. It was his wish that people who travel for any type of medical treatment to be able to stay somewhere that felt like home.

Sadly, Ken passed away a few years ago the family wanted to keep his legacy going and chose to do so by helping others through donating to the Memorial Hospital Foundation with the intent to provide a like-home environment for patients seeking and receiving treat on the Memorial Hospital campus.
