Rock Springs is nestled in the scenic high-desert region of Southwest Wyoming and offers a variety of outdoor recreational activities, including boating on Flaming Gorge and skiing in the Wind River Mountains. The town is also home to Western Wyoming Community College, which provides a range of degree and certification programs. Additionally, residents have access to other activities within a short drive to notable destinations such as Jackson Hole, Yellowstone National Park, and Salt Lake City.

Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County is a not-for-profit, full-service, regional critical access hospital, including an Emergency Department that handles approximately 17,000 ER visits annually. The hospital, its numerous clinics, and wide variety of services make it a great place to work in Sweetwater County.
