Sleep Disorder Lab
Millions of Americans are affected by sleep disorders,
like sleep apnea, insomnia and chronic snoring, that prevent them from getting a good night's sleep. Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County can help diagnose these conditions in adults and restore restful sleep.
Sleep disorders are diagnosed through sleep studies conducted in the sleep lab, usually overnight. During the study, patients are monitored continually by a polysomnographic technician and/or a certified or registered respiratory therapist who will use microphones, infrared cameras, and electrodes to record all aspects of sleep.
Talk to you doctor if you suspect you are suffering from a sleep disorder. A physician referral is required before a sleep study is conducted.
