The combination of getting to work with his hands, as well as the breadth of the specialty is what attracted Dr. Hoffman to general surgery. 

He is particularly happy with the hospital's da Vinci Robotic System.

"The robot allows for a minimally invasive approach, while still allowing for excellent visualization during surgery," Hoffman says. "Ultimately, this allows our patients to recover more quickly from surgery, and have smaller incisions to heal.

"The robot allows us to offer the same surgeries and repairs available at larger hospitals. This means that folks can get their surgery nearer to home, and to recover at home."

He says Sweetwater County is a great fit for him and his wife. “I've always loved the outdoors, and Wyoming has everything you could ask for in terms of hiking, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, ice hockey, and more,. We both grew up in similar size towns as Rock Springs and Green River."
