Homemade masks are still needed

Homemade masks are still needed

The staff at Sweetwater Memorial is extremely appreciative of the cloth masks and gowns the community is making for us. As everyone knows, our personal protective equipment is in short supply.

Dr. Melinda Poyer, Sweetwater Memorial Chief Medical Officer, said this will be her weekend project. You’ll see she used elastic to make a Scrunchie-type of head strap. But Sweetwater Memorial will take all types – ties, ear loops or Scrunchies. We do ask that you refrain from using flannel.

Donations are appreciated now more than ever. Beginning Monday, Sweetwater Memorial would like for everyone – staff and patients – coming into the hospital to wear a mask. That means, we’re going to need a lot more masks.

Patterns are available on our website at www.sweetwatermemorial.com/~/coronavirus-covid-19-/gowns-masks/
