Mariah Pacheco has worked for MHSC for 9 years
Working in pediatrics brings a sense of joy and can make hard days feel worthwhile, according to Mariah Pacheco, FNP-C, the newest addition to the Pediatric Clinic of Sweetwater Memorial.
“I chose healthcare because I truly love helping others and am fascinated with the ever-changing medical field,” she said. “I love pediatrics because I have the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with patients and their families.”
Pacheco, who was born and raised in Rock Springs, has worked for MHSC since 2016 as a staff nurse and then lead registered nurse in Women’s Health Clinic of Sweetwater Memorial, then as a staff nurse in the Pediatric Clinic. She now joins the staff as a certified family nurse practitioner.
“We’re really excited to welcome Mariah to the Pediatric Clinic,” said Irene Richardson, CEO at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. “She’s been a valuable member of our hospital family for many years, and we look forward to her taking care of our patients in her new role.”
Pacheco said she has developed many close relationships at MHSC.
“Working at MHSC has promoted a healthy work-life balance allowing me to spend as much time as possible with my family,” Pacheco said. “When I'm not at work, I like to spend my time traveling, watching my daughters participate in sports/activities, and camping.”
She received an Associated Degree in Nursing from Western Wyoming Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, and a Master of Science Degree, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, Kentucky.
In the clinic, Pacheco joins Juli Forrester, FNP-C, and Tammy Walker, CPNP-PC. For an appointment, call 307-212-7717.
