Physical Therapy's purpose is to provide the highest possible quality of
treatment to both inpatients and outpatients. To hasten the rehabilitation
of disabled, injured or diseased patients by physical means including
but not limited to heat, cold, electricity, water, sound, light, therapeutic
exercise, gait training, and activities of daily living.
Physical Therapy services include:
- Treatment of all orthopedic injuries: strains, sprains, fractures
- Treatment of back and neck pain
- Complete lymphedema treatment
- Customized strengthening and range of motion programs
- Evaluation and treatment of muscle imbalances and improper movement patterns
- Training for coordination and balance deficits
- Dizziness and Vertigo
- Wound care and debridement
Modalities to help alleviate pain, improve muscle recruitment, and to aid
in healing include:
- Ultrasound
- Phonophoresis
- Iontophoresis
- Electrical stimulation
- Intermittent traction
- Paraffin
- Hydrotherapy
- Hot packs /cold packs
- Contrast baths
- Ice massage
